Leather Finishes 

Aniline Dyed Leather is dyed right through for premium longevity. Bay Leather Republic’s ‘Full Grain’ and ‘Corrected Grain’ leathers feature drum and premium aniline dying, which means that the UV corrected leather colours and oils have penetrated right through the fibres of the hide. Additional surface coats add extra colour or interest, with various enhanced tactile and visual effects.    

Protective Finish  

The surface coatings on Bay Leather Republic’s leathers are kept to a minimum in order to preserve the original feel and touch of the leather, and to protect its natural breathing properties – so it feels warm in winter, cool in summer. However, most Bay Leather Republic leathers still feature a light protective tanner’s clear topcoat, which assists in the cleaning and maintenance to preserve the leather’s surface effects. Light protective finish = easy leather care.
